Dutch language immersion - Travelling around the World (for children aged 7 to 9)

We travel around the world. But how? By train, by airplane or in a boat? We start from Europe to go to Africa, America, Asia… We travel along the sea and through the mountains. Sometimes it is cold, sometimes it is very hot. This will be a journey to remember!

The school holidays are the perfect time for children to take part in fun activities. For children whose mother tongue is not Dutch, this is also an opportunity to learn and practise the language during the holidays. With this in mind, ‘de Rand’, De Horizon and Sportopia are organising entertaining and educational Dutch workshops. The well-rounded programme is an opportunity to enjoy a unique weeklong experience of the Dutch language. The monitors will encourage the children to speak Dutch while they play, even though these workshops are not supposed to be language courses.

Children are expected at 8.45 a.m. Activities start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
Free childcare is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Meals
Give your child a packed lunch to bring along each day. At 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. the children get a drink and a biscuit/fruit
Clothing
Let your child wear clothes that are comfortable and can get dirty. They should be able to move well in them.
