Practicing Dutch - Babycafé

Offering a pleasant atmosphere to parents with children and grandparents with grandchildren, the Babycafé is open every Thursday from 9.30 a.m. until 12 a.m. A hostess is always available to welcome you. The Babycafé is an opportunity for you to meet other mothers, fathers, grandmothers or grandfathers with their child or grandchild. Toys, play mats, biscuits and fruit are available for the children. While the children are playing, parents and grandparents can enjoy a pleasant chat and compare notes while drinking a cup of tea or coffee. This is a chance for people still struggling to speak Dutch to practise the language. You come and go when you want. Everybody is welcome!
Participate on a regular basis in the Babycafé activities with your child or grandchild, and also spend time meeting some of the Kind en Gezin nursing staff.

Children are able to recognise sounds and rhythm as soon as they are born. Mummies and daddies can help to stimulate them. It is great fun singing, playing and moving together. We play using simple materials and entertaining musical instruments.

Babycafé - Goede nacht, slaapwel!
Donderdag 16 november – 10 uur

Sleep is important for everyone. From the time we are born, peace and quiet and a regular routine are important for us to develop properly. If a child sleeps well, Mum and Dad also sleep well.
What does a child's sleep cycle look like?
What is a good sleeping pattern for your child?
Is a ritual for going to sleep important?
What do you need to know when you feed your child at night?
How can you help if your child has trouble falling asleep?

The nurse from Kind en Gezin answers these questions. And you will receive a number of other tips too.

Free.
