De Spiegel
Battoe (1-4 jaar)
Everyone travels now and then. Sometimes by plane, sometimes with a little backpack to daycare. Often with lots of excitement and joy, but sometimes also with uncertainty, fear or homesickness. In Battoe, the journey begins on a special means of transport: a wooden musical raft. Two performers set off on an adventure together and sail through a sea of sounds and emotions.
Step by step and wave after wave, they discover the complex world and a little more of themselves. Battoe is a performance about coming home in an ever-changing world.
About De Spiegel
De Spiegel creates music theatre for the very youngest children. Actors and musicians play with figures, space, music and the audience. This delightful interplay leads to cosy and heartwarming performances. The theatre stimulates the curiosity, wonder and imagination of both children and their parents or carers.
We all know what travelling is. Whether it is a journey to the other side of the world, a weekend in a neighbouring country, or going to daycare with a little backpack for the very first time: every day, we travel a little. Often with lots of excitement and joy, but sometimes also with uncertainty, fear or homesickness.
Battoe is a performance about coming home in an ever-changing world. Two performers leave their familiar cocoon behind and set out on a journey together. On a wooden musical raft filled with hidden sounds, they cross borders and travel through a sea of different emotions. Step by step and wave after wave, they discover the complex world and a little more of themselves.
